HELPING SOW THE SEEDS OF SUCCESS
THE TACOMA DELTA FOUNDATION
Greetings from the Tacoma Delta Foundation President

The Tacoma Delta Foundation was created to fund opportunities to serve youth and the underserved populations in the Puget Sound Community. The Foundation was incorporated in Washington State, on October 6, 2010.
The Foundation was later established on May 5, 2011.
Since its inception, the Foundation has supported Tacoma Alumnae Chapter and helped fund its Five Point Program Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement.
The primary areas of focus and support are:
-
Scholarship
-
Charitable Endeavors
-
Mentoring and Leadership Development
The Tacoma Delta Foundation continues its charitable giving program while partnering with community events, promoting historical and cultural programs and providing assistance to persons in need.
In part, the Foundation focuses on assisting youth with reducing the financial barriers that block the achievement of their academic dreams. We strive to do more by helping directly match students with our strategic partners who want to hire talented youth in our community.
We endeavor to promote summer opportunities and year-long internships to help groom students to be the leaders of tomorrow. With a bridge between local businesses and the Tacoma Delta Foundation, youth seeking opportunities will use our platform as a resource in helping them navigate entry into a career path which is often unknown
Our partnership with Tacoma Alumnae Chapter has been to support our future leaders. Since the Foundation’s 2011 inception, the Foundation has awarded over $80,000 in scholarship to local youth.

Sincerely,
Christine Turner, President
